(including audio of the meditation at the end)
This month we have had some amazing new people join us in SLU and I felt it was time to lead my absolute favourite meditation; the communal fire meditation. This powerful community work follows on from last week's blog. I cannot emphasise enough how important it is to remember you are not alone on your spiritual journey, and working in community is an ancient practice which has created a powerful generational energy of its own.
This is a powerful practice that allows us to connect with each other energetically, and also with a magical being - the communal fire - that has been burning for millennia. The tradition I am initiated in sees the communal fire as a powerful symbol of transformation and purification and connects us with a higher consciousness and a greater sense of purpose.
The spiritual tradition that is the foundation to all my teachings is rich and complex, and emphasises the pursuit of inner wisdom and spiritual transformation. It offers a path of personal growth and development that is both challenging and rewarding, and its teachings have inspired many generations, including myself, of seekers and spiritual aspirants.
The practice is intended to be safe, soothing, relaxing, cathartic and healing. It is a practice I am deeply committed to and love leading people into a deep meditative state to tap into this ancient communal fire energy. This meditation promotes transformation and healing on both a personal and collective level, and fosters a deep sense of community and connection among participants.

The communal fire is not just a physical fire, but an energetic fire that exists outside of material space and time. It has been tended by many people all over the world as part of their ongoing practice. It has been a part of spiritual traditions for hundreds, if not thousands of years to maintain this powerful and deeply connecting communal fire. During the practice, participants journey to a place where they can connect with the communal fire and contribute their energy to it.
This involves identifying and releasing anything they no longer want to hold onto, and feeding it to the fire. This allows the fire to grow and continue burning. The practice of feeding the fire with negative energies is believed to transmute them into positive ones, thereby promoting healing and transformation on both the personal and collective level.
The communal fire is also a healing fire that generates warmth and healing energy. Participants can simply sit around the fire and receive this energy without any obligation to contribute or participate in any particular way. The practice is powerful because it is communal, but there is no pressure to participate in any specific way.
Overall, the communal fire meditation is a powerful practice that allows individuals to connect with each other and a magical being, release what no longer serves them, and receive healing energy in a safe and soothing environment.

In this tradition, the communal fire meditation is not just a simple guided meditation, but a profound spiritual practice that involves a deep commitment to personal and collective transformation. The practice is typically done in groups, and participants are encouraged to share their experiences and insights with one another, fostering a sense of community and connection but you can also share the experience with just a friend or on your own and then journal about your insights.
